“An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.” -William E Vaughan

At Top of Waikiki, the champagne glass is always half full (we already drank the first half ?), which is why any excuse to celebrate is always most festive at our restaurant. In case you’re still looking for a place to ring in 2019, let us share with you why NYE is the best holiday of the year with us!

1. Bring on the Bubbly

Everyone knows celebration = champagne, and NYE = celebration! Which is why, if our math is right, NYE is the best excuse to indulge on champagne. NYE at Top of Waikiki rocks because we are SO ready to pop some bubbly with you to celebrate all the amazing things you did in 2018, and cheers to the even better things you’ll do in ’19!

2. New Beginnings

#DidYouKnow we’re Hawaii’s only revolving restaurant? That makes us the #1 best place to celebrate NYE on Oahu! No, not just because you get constantly changing, ever-beautiful views of Waikiki and the Honolulu city lights. NYE is the best at Top of Waikiki because you can truly revel in the symbolism of a brand-new year! Enjoy freshly revolving sights over delicious dinner as you plan for a fresh, new chapter – the year ahead!

3. Diet Starts Tomorrow

January 1 is a fresh start and a great day to set forth on your new resolutions for the year. December 31, though, is a great day to go out with a YUM! Did we mention we know a thing or two about Hawaii Regional Steak & Seafood? Our Executive Chef Lance Kosaka and his award-winning team have created a mouthwatering five-course prix fixe for you to enjoy.

4. Eat Good, Do Good

Ending 2018 on a positive note is easy at Top of Waikiki for so many reasons, but a feel-good reason is one of our faves: supporting local farms! We love using local products whenever possible, and NYE is no exception. One of our most delicious local products? Lobster from Kona Cold Lobsters, located in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii (you can find it in our Lobster “Cappuccino” – the first course of our NYE prix fixe!). As Hawaii’s source of live and fresh seafood since 1987, Kona Cold Lobsters provides all sorts of seafood, also including Dungeness Crab, oysters, clams, mussels, and various fish.

Absolutely can’t join us for New Year’s Eve? You can also find Kona Cold Lobsters products in…you guessed it…our Steamed Live Maine Lobster entrée!

5. Dress Up

We love celebrating NYE for an excuse to get dressed up, full glitz and glam! Don’t worry, there will be plenty of photo ops throughout the night to document your efforts. Cheers to that!

6. Fireworks
